We make every effort to ensure we have good stock of all products, but sometimes items may go out of stock. This can be due to higher demand than expected, or issues along the supply chain.
We work with over 400 different suppliers from around the world, each with their own nuaces of production; from large multinational companies, to single individuals making goods in their shed! Because of this, it can be very difficult for us to answer the question: 'When will this item be back in stock?'
Online Availability
Instead of answering each stock question, all products have a notification option when out of stock, where you will be informed immediately of the product returning to our website.
Shop Availability
For shop stock availability, it is best to either email or telephone the specific shop you wish to visit. Please note that items can only be put on hold for a maximum of 7 days, and we cannot put items on hold from mid-November until Christmas due to demand.

Once an order is placed, you may cancel it at any time before you have received the posting confirmation by contact us.
Unfortunately we cannot amend an order after it is placed, such as adding or changing items.

Click and collect is available from our Shoreditch shop, as well as our Workroom space in Bethnal Green.
To collect your order, select ‘Collection’ instead of delivery at checkout
You will receive an email confirming your order is ready for collection– please wait to receive this email before coming to collect your order.
Order collation and collection can only be done during our opening hours. Please see our locations page above for details on each location's opening hours.
Please collect your order from us within 7 days of being informed that it is ready. Collection orders that are not collected within 7 days will be refunded and returned to stock.
Some items in your shopping bag may not be available in all locations. In such cases, the location without stock will not be available to select.
We make all efforts to ensure we have the correct stock, but in rare circumstances the item you have ordered may not be available. We will contact you should we not be able to fulfil your order.
All products in your order must be in stock at the desired location, otherwise collection will not be available as an option. Unfortunately we cannot move items around for this purpose; however we endeavour to ensure most stock is fully available in all locations.

All orders to mainland UK are posted with a tracked service for between £3.00 and £10.00 depending on on the size of the order.*
Mainland UK orders over £75.00 are posted for free.*
Please note that postage costs for addresses that are not mainland UK may vary.
*Our courier enforces a £20.00 surcharge on items longer than one metre. Unfortunately any orders containing 'long items' cannot be delivered for free and there will be a postage charge.
We try to reuse all the boxes and packaging we receive from deliveries from suppliers, so sometimes you might find your box has writing on it or other printed information!

We are very pleased to have a following from many different countries around the world, however due to a variety of issues, many around the current rules of Brexit, we cannot ship to certain countries. If the country you wish to ship to is not on the list at checkout, we are afraid to say that we are not able to ship to your country.

International orders may be liable for local customs charges. These are not included in your payment to Labour and Wait. The charge are decided by and paid to your Government upon customs clearance and delivery.
RESTRICTED PRODUCTS
Since Brexit, some items are no longer permitted to be exported from the UK to the EU. These items are noted on the product page and cannot be sent to any country within the EU.
SALES TAX (VAT)
UK sales tax (VAT) is removed at checkout when you enter your non-UK delivery address. Please note that paying with Apple Pay or other express checkout options will not remove the tax from your order. Please follow the checkout process manually for prices to be updated based on your postage location.
CUSTOMER DETAILS
You will be contacted by our courier to arrange delivery and payment of duties, so it is imperative that you include a contact telephone number and email address to ensure your items arrive to you promptly.
EUROPEAN UNION CUSTOMERS
Following Brexit we have been working hard to ensure a smooth transition for all our European customers (in the EU and EEA). Please note there will likely be customs charges on your order upon delivery.

We can offer a refund on any item as long as it is returned in a saleable condition and in its original packaging, within 14 days of receiving the goods. Please note that we cannot reimburse postage costs of returning an item
Extended Christmas Returns:
Any item purchased from 18th November 2024 can be returned by 14th January 2025..
Please ensure items being returned are packed well: Items returned that are damaged in transit are the responsibility of the customer and may not be refunded.
Items can only be refunded to the same payment method/card used to purchase.
Please finally note that we cannot exchange or refund items bought in our Dover Street Market space. These items must be returned to Dover Street Market only.
